There are many good aspects of nature but nature is also the
bringer of disease, death, pain and poison. To live “with nature” or “as people
used to, closer to nature” is a false hope of reduced suffering in life. In
reality human intelligence and tools reduce suffering in life, although they
too can cause suffering if used nefariously. Both nature and artifice can be
beneficial or detrimental.
