AI Takes Over?

We don’t need to be only worried about AI being super-intelligent, we need to worry about what its motivations will be.

A super intelligent being who sits in a corner doing nothing is harmless. A stupid animal motivated by hunger is a danger if it has teeth and you look tasty.

NATRUE IS _ GOOD?

There are many good aspects of nature but nature is also the bringer of disease, death, pain and poison. To live “with nature” or “as people used to, closer to nature” is a false hope of reduced suffering in life. In reality human intelligence and tools reduce suffering in life, although they too can cause suffering if used nefariously. Both nature and artifice can be beneficial or detrimental.

Giving Up Sugar?

I'm trying to give up sugar.

I continue to doubt I will be able to keep up this no sugar policy but perhaps my doubt is a kind of hope for reverse psychology to work on myself.

I want to get at the truth and not some fad diet. Not "make the theory fit the data".
"Hey everybody you've got to do the same diet as me! I'm a beliver and I will convert you to my new religion!"
Is a religious attitude the only way for humans to stick with something?
Would less sugar make me mellower? sadder? less energetic?
Is there really ever a time that "sugar would help"?
Will the weekend suck without sugar? Will that go away in time?
Is sugar one of my main sources of happiness in life? I hope not!

All fruits and veggies are better when at room temp or warmer.

New record ORION SUNRISE. I think I have decided my favourite form of music is progressive rock. GO on and hate me if you must. Its not a very popular genre.

Coffee

Today I was on my way to work on Incredible Master Treasure Hunters, a magazine I write in, and I spilled my coffee again. Yet again. My wife was amazed that I can manage to spill my coffee so often. I also bought many fruits and vegetables for my blender to make into juice, and a small eclair pie for my mouth. I watered my plants, and I watered the Rhodedendragon from the top of the stairs, a mighty stream of liquid falling form the heavens!!
